At-Home Healthy Tips from our Registered Nurse

Ways you can stay healthy at home, and we aren’t talking about just washing your hands and staying inside.

This is new for everyone and came on suddenly, those of us that aren’t used to being in this situation might need some more guidance on how we can be healthy while AT HOME.

1. Keep drinking your water!

If staying home is not the norm for you, you might need to set reminders about getting the recommended amount of water in. Make sure you are getting at least 1/2 your body weight in oz of water each day. (+ water helps rid our body of toxins!)

2. Take extra Vitamin C.

It’s easy and beneficial, so why not?!

3. Focus on eating WHOLE foods.

Depending on how long you are home, or what the situation of the grocery stores are, you might need to have fruits & veggies from the freezer, or a can. But focus on whole, real food over processed (processed contains extra “stuff” that our bodies don’t need – but if that’s what you are working with, just keep your body fueled!)

4. Take time to self-reflect and BREATHE.

We are being forced into a nationwide slow down, we might as well use it to our advantage. Slowing down will also help our stress response to all of this uncertainty.

5. Connect with your loved ones via phone calls.

If you are feeling isolated, or having a hard time with social distancing, take time each day to reach out to loved ones. This is both beneficial for you AND them. We need to support everyone around us

6. Take time to ENJOY the hobbies you love.

OR find new ones! We don’t always have time to pick up new hobbies or do things that revives our souls – Do them now!

Now is about taking care of us, our loved ones and community. Focus on the things we can control and something no money can buy: our health. We want to be offering as many FREE guides, downloadables, videos, etc. – but if you feel like you need more guidance or would like to continue to support Proximal50 as a business, our new virtual program is almost ready for you.
